It is truly my honor and privilege to introduce you to the Richard C. Helmstetter Performance Centre, a state-of-the-art golf facility. Here we offer exceptional personalized golf instruction, a player development program for players of all skill levels and abilities, and a meeting and event venue. My name is Matt Kilgariff and I am the Director of Player Development at the RCH Performance Centre. I bring over 20 years of extensive and diverse experience in the golf industry to The Bridges and RCH.

The RCH Performance Centre is a state-of-the-art facility consisting of two hitting bays for one-on-one golf instruction and golf club fittings, a putting training center, lounge and multiple large-screen video monitors.

RCH STORY

Richard Helmstetter is the man most widely recognized as the creator of the Big Bertha Driver and Fairway Woods. He joined Callaway Golf Company in 1986. Mr. Helmstetter served as President from 1990 to 1993 and as Executive Vice President from 1986 to 1990. He served in many capacities, including president, but his true passion has always been R&D. Richard holds more than 1,000 patents worldwide in the golf industry, having designed much of Callaway’s most famous equipment.

Richard and wife Jeaninne spent 20 years in Japan where he was the owner and CEO of Adam, Ltd., a billiards cue designer and manufacturer, which he founded in the 1970s. Additionally, he worked with many Japanese, European, and American companies as a consultant. He was aligned with Bridgestone Corporation’s international strategic planning group from 1982 to 1986. Ely Callaway courted Richard for years until Richard, Jeannine, and their two children finally returned to the United States in 1986.

Richard became involved with Pro Kids Golf Academy at its inception in 1994 to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character and instill life-enhancing values through the game of golf.

Our RCH Professional Team provides the ultimate golf instructional experience. Through our programs and world-class facilities, we offer personalized instruction, year-round clinics and junior development programs using a winning combination of hands-on teaching, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and physical wellness education.

Private Lessons - Individual lessons are the best opportunity for members to receive personalized instruction focused on areas of their game that are most important to them.

Club Fittings - Personalized club fitting is an extremely important component of any golfer’s game. It is critical that the equipment a golfer uses is built specifically to help optimize their swing. All of our professional staff at The Bridges are certified fitters with an in-depth understanding of the myriad of golf equipment available.

Fitness - Golf fitness and maintaining good health are vital to longevity when playing this physically demanding sport. We have partnered with the Sports Centre’s elite team as a part of our holistic approach to your game, ensuring faster results with pain-free movement in all aspects of your game. 

MEMBER & CORPORATE EVENTS

The RCH is the perfect place to host a private member or corporate event. Our goal is to create a customized and memorable world class experience for you and your guests.

Includes: Swing Catalyst, Putt View, Full Swing Simulator, 2 instructors along with customized programming for guests, Personalized lessons and tips emailed to each guest. Customized contests for the group (examples: closest to the pin, long drive, Ryder Cup Matches). Usage of 5 big screen televisions and surround sound audio system.
